Birthday crackers at the Sivakasi price
A child's first birthday, a parent's sixtieth, or just a big family dinner often moves downstairs to the courtyard or up to the terrace once the cake has been cut.

Why crackers belong to Birthdays
The audience is mostly small children and grandparents, gathered close together. That rules out most of the catalogue and makes the choice simple.
What to buy
Pick only the silent and low-noise boxes: sparklers, colour smoke that looks lovely in photographs, butterflies and the smaller chakkars. Nothing that bangs, and nothing that leaves the ground.

Birthdays questions
What is safe to light at a children's birthday?
Sparklers held with an adult's hand on the child's wrist, colour smoke, butterflies and electric stones. A grown-up lights each one, with a bucket of water nearby.
Can we use them in the apartment compound?
Quiet ground items are fine if your association permits it and nothing is hanging overhead. Keep anything aerial out.
Is the minimum order the same for a small party?
Yes, 5,000 rupees, which is more than one evening needs. Families keep the rest sealed for the next festival.
